There are so many great, filling options for eating keto at Jimmy Johns. It’s so low carb and keto friendly they even have a name for it: The Unwich – aka lettuce wrap.

The Unwich is a hugely popular option that’s emblazoned on the menu. That means they execute the lettuce wrap extremely well, rather than it being an afterthought like a lot of places.

Additionally, it also makes online ordering that much simpler! You can easily order and experience that freaky fast delivery of your lettuce wrapped Unwich.

Also, unlike some other fast food restaurants, you have a ton of Jimmy Johns keto options. As long as you lettuce wrap your “sandwich”, you open up yourself up to tons of possibilities.

Even more, because most of the Jimmy Johns sandwiches contain plenty fat and protein (and of course, mayo), the Unwich can be a filling meal.

About that mayo…

When lettuce wrapping, mayo or some sort of fat is supremely important. Make sure you have enough mayo (maybe a couple packets on the side in case you don’t get enough) or add Avocado Spread. Luckily, almost all the options (other than the Plain Slims) come with mayo by default.

Pro-Tip: We recently started dipping our Unwiches in the Kickin’ Ranch sauce. OMG…drool! Bring on the fat!

Is there really no way I can have the bread?

Nope. Sorry! The bread is strictly off-limits. Yes, that means the whole wheat bread as well.

However, there are some great low carb bread alternatives on the market that can make any lettuce wrapped sandwich whole again!

You could pack your own low carb wheat bread and place the neatly-wrapped Unwich in between two slices.

Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do! (Hint: It’s not that weird if you’re doing this in your car)

But I’ve had the unwiches. I’m still hungry afterwards.

A couple of things here. First, you’re not alone. Secondly, you can crank it up a notch by adding extra mayo, avocado spread, or cheese.

Just order the Unwich (and maybe some extra mayo and mustard) and wrap it up with your wrap/tortilla. It just takes a second.

This adds a few additional carbohydrates, but in a controlled way, as opposed to the astronomical carb counts of JJ’s breads. With the additional calories and fiber, you’ll definitely feel more full.

Do you miss the Chips and Cookies from Jimmy Johns?
