The truth is PF Changs isn’t going to win an award for being low carb-friendly any time soon. This is due to the copious amounts of sugar utilized in most Asian cuisines.

But if you look hard enough, there are definitely some viable low carb options at PF Changs.

In this PF Changs keto guide, we’re simply aiming to build a meal that’s both under 25g net carbs and that can actually fill you up.

Read on to learn how to order a multi-course, low carb PF Changs meal!

Okay! Let’s get started ordering keto at PF Changs.

PF Changs Keto Appetizer Options

For your appetizer, choose a cup of soup or edamame.

  • Egg Drop Soup (cup) – 6g net carbs
  • Hot and Sour soup (cup) – 9g net carbs
  • Wonton Soup (cup) – 13g net carbs

Veggie Entrees

Don’t skip the veggies!

For one, the vegetables contain a surprising amount of flavor and the portions are plentiful.

Secondly, both of the below options contain a ton of soluble fiber, which can help lower the blood sugar impact of your entire meal.

  • Wok’d Spinach with Garlic – 6g net carbs
  • Wok Charred Brussel Sprouts – 15g net carbs

Note: You’d think the Buddha’s Feast would be keto-friendly, but even the steamed version contains 23g net carbs, 13g of which are sugar. We’d steer clear.

Meat Entrees

Meats are where a lot of hidden sugars show up. As such, all of these options are higher on the carb scale. However, we still wanted to list out the lowest carb meat entrees for your reference.

PRO-TIP: The steamed versions of the entrees contain fewer carbs. So, don’t forget to ask for “steamed” when you order these!

  • Shrimp with Lobster Sauce (steamed) – 11g net carbs
  • Northern Style Spare Ribs – 11g net carbs
  • Singapore Black Pepper Chicken (Steamed) – 19g net carbs
  • Steamed Kung Pao Shrimp – 20g net carbs
  • Steamed Kung Pao Chicken – 22g net carbs
  • Ginger Chicken with Broccoli (no rice) – 22g net carbs
  • Pepper Steak (Steamed) – 24g net carbs

Salads

Your best option for some fresh greens is the Asian Caesar Salad at 11g net carbs.

Note, this salad is officially listed at 19g net carbs, but that includes the wonton croutons.

We estimate that there are 8g of carbs in those wontons, so we’ll treat the salad as 11g net carbs ordered without the croutons.

(It could actually be even less)

Protein Power-ups

You can also stack some protein on your Asian Caesar Salad (highly recommended). This is especially important since you lose some crunch, flavor, and saltiness that the croutons normally provide.

Here are your options:

  • Shrimp – 4g net carbs
  • Chicken – 4g net carbs
  • Salmon – 0g net carbs

Learning from the Kid’s Menu

The kid’s menu clues us in on some steamed veggies options that are low carb. You can order *steamed* sides of the following to supplement your meal.

  • Broccoli – 0g net carbs
  • Snap Peas – 1g net carb
  • Carrots – 2g net carbs
