Happy New Year! We’re starting off 2021 by highlighting some of the newer products we’ve recently come across. This is just Part I and we’re following up with several more segments to kick off keto season this year. Let’s get right to it!
New flavors of Good Good Jams!
Good Good Jams were the most popular product on our blog in 2020 by a long shot (for good reason). However, they were always missing one thing: America’s favorite Concord Grape flavor.
That’s no longer the case.
In addition to Concord Grape, they launched two additional flavors: Black Currant and Forest Fruits. Currently, they are available on Good Good’s site.
We’ll update our keto jellies and jams page with a review of the new flavors.
Project 7 Gummy Bears
Ever since the whole tapioca fiber controversy with Smart Sweets, we’ve been searching far and wide for a viable keto gummy bear alternative. For a time, it was Kiss My Keto’s Gummies that fit the bill. But just as we were about to post about them on our keto gummy bears page, they inexplicably tweaked their formulation. And, you guessed it, they added none other than tapioca fiber to the mix.
We finally recently came across Project 7 Gummies. They aren’t like classic Haribo gummy bears, but have the flavor and texture of Welch’s Fruit Snacks. Their sour gummy bears will likely fulfill your Sour Patch Kids cravings.
6g net carbs for the whole bag (compare this to 36g of net carbs in Welch’s fruit snacks).
Catalina Crunch Fruity Cereal
Catalina Crunch’s cereal flavors can be hit or miss. For us, we love the Cinnamon Toast flavor, but the Maple Waffle flavor, not so much. However, their new Fruity flavor is really, really good!
The flavor profile is exactly like Fruit Loops. We wouldn’t be surprised if they broke into the Kellogg’s factory and stole the secret flavor.
These are 5g net carb per serving and are completely vegan and Paleo-friendly.
Newcomer: Odyssey Organics Keto Milk Chocolate
It’s not every day that you come across organic keto treats– and even then, those that actually taste great. We’re huge fans of clean, low carb foods and are happy to be able to try the first ever organic, keto-friendly milk chocolate.
And it’s not just keto chocolate that happens to be organic; it’s actually really creamy and decadent. That’s not a big surprise given it’s fine Swiss chocolate, produced in Switzerland and sweetened only with organic erythritol. Chocolate is now a non-guilty pleasure.
Flavors
Almonds & Sea Salt (2g net carbs)
Salted Milk Chocolate (3g net carbs)
A Legit Keto Cheese Cracker from Fat Snax
There have been very few Cheez-It alternatives that have lasted in the market. Sure, there’s Simple Mills’ uber-popular Cheddar Crackers, but those aren’t low carb enough to make a huge dent in the keto market.
That’s why these Fat Snax Almond Flour Cheddar Crackers are so great at 2g net carbs per serving and great tasting. Plus they have that familiar crunchy cracker texture. A no-brainer to pick up for your keto pantry.
Okay everyone, there’s so much more to share with you–we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for even more in our next post in the Keto Kickoff 2021 series.
Cheers!
