Top Keto BBQ Sauce Brands
#1 Stevia Sweet BBQ Sauce
Stevia Sweet BBQ is an amazing sauce all on its own! It’s sweetened only with stevia and there is no added sugar. There’s a touch of sugar (from the molasses) in the Worcestershire sauce, but that’s it.
If you are looking for a keto sweet bbq sauce this is your best bet! That little bit of stevia brings a nice sweetness and complements the tomato flavor very well. That’s why this sauce also works well in recipes that call for barbecue sauce, like this easy and amazing slow cooker pulled chicken recipe.
Our favorite flavor is their Heat flavor, which blends perfectly with that aforementioned sweetness! If you are sensitive to heat, their original sauce still has a nice little peppery kick.
The best part is that both sauces come in at only 2g net carb per 2 tablespoons! And let’s not forget its sweetened with STEVIA, one of the best low glycemic, natural sugar substitutes out there!
The sauce itself comes from a family barbecue joint out of Florida, where the sauce sells like hotcakes. Luckily for y’all, it’s available to buy online!
Flavors:
The Bottom Line: This keto bbq sauce has a great consistency. It’s not watery, but not overly thick either. No excessive thickeners means you save on those carbs!
If you are looking for a sweet keto bbq sauce this is definitely your best bet.
#2 G Hughes Smokehouse Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce
You may have seen these bottles on shelves where you shop. The G Hughes Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce is an extremely popular keto BBQ sauce. And deservedly so. This sauce is a classic sweet BBQ sauce, which is great for dipping!
Breaking it down, there are 2 net carbs per 2 tablespoons. And all flavors are sweetened with sucralose. However, sucralose is the very last ingredient listed, meaning it is the least used ingredient in the sauce.
Really, what sets this brand apart is that each of the flavors is barely sweetened. Plus, most of the net carb content comes naturally from the crushed tomato base.
As far as flavors go, hickory is by far the best. That’s because it has the most traditional BBQ Sauce flavor without all the sugar! Think of those Lays Hickory BBQ chips and their classic flavor.
Flavors:
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a traditional, sweeter keto barbeque sauce to dip with, definitely consider G Hughes Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce!
#3 Guy’s Award Winning Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce
You know how sometimes you see products that are award-winning and after trying them you think, “Who gave them this award?!”
Well, this keto BBQ sauce brand definitely deserves whatever award it won. The flavor is more like your typical vinegar-based BBQ sauce, so if you are looking for a keto vinegar bbq sauce this is it.
It comes in at only 2g net carbs per 2 tablespoons and is sweetened with sucralose. The spice also adds really complex flavor but not too much of a kick.
Flavors:
The Bottom Line: Really great flavor at only 2g net carbs per serving.
And here’s a handy Pro-Tip: Spicy and Smokey Garlic are our favorite flavors. Mix them together, maybe even add some grated Parmesan cheese, and blow your taste buds out of the water.
#4 Simple Girl Organic Carolina Kick BBQ Sauce
We’re big fans of the sweetener stevia. So any time a sauce is sweetened with only stevia and not a ton of other sweeteners, we give it a big bonus. The stevia lends to the sweetness of the Carolina Kick flavor which is balanced out with some great spices.
The Simple Girl sauces lean more toward the thinner side of sauces. So depending on what you’re used to, this could be a bit of an adjustment. However, I’ve had delicious sauces that are just as runny (mostly the vinegar-based ones). So you just need to set your expectations correctly.
But again, don’t expect that McDonald’s nugget dipping sauce consistency and texture. You just can’t get that thickness without some of those added agents in other sauces (lots of carbs and fillers!).
But because you are missing those added ingredients in this sauce, you lower the number of carbs to the lowest net carbs on our list: 1g net carb per 2 tablespoons!
Their flavors:
The Bottom Line: Tang, sweetness, and spiciness are all wrapped into a truly organic and natural mix. And this also happens to be the lowest net carb count sauce on our list. This is going to hit the check marks for A LOT of people.
#5 AlternaSweets Sweet & Smokey BBQ Sauce
This BBQ sauce from AlternaSweets is great on some ribs. Sweetened with a combination of stevia and erythritol, this sauce has a classic bold and smoky BBQ flavor (I think they really got the name right!)
You’ll notice this sauce has a bit higher of a carb count at 4g net carbs per 2 tablespoons. However, the added carbohydrate content comes mostly from tomato sauce, not added sugar.
Additionally, there are some added thickeners that contribute to the carb count. But, the much-needed tomato flavor, as well as the added thickness, probably gets you as close as possible to the classic taste and texture of BBQ sauce that lots of people are familiar with.
The Bottom Line: The closest thing to your classic, typical BBQ sauce
Pro-Tip: Barbecue goes better with some bread to soak up all the juices. Check out our favorite low carb and keto-friendly bread options to complete your barbecue meal.
