Our Top 20 Low Carb & Keto Food List

#1  The Real Coconut – Coconut Flour Tortilla Chips

Our top keto food list item for a reason! These chips were a godsend for us. Chips are so popular (and for good reason) and people always ask us for suggestions for chip cravings. This is your answer. Check out our in-depth review of these Coconut Flour Tortilla Chips here.

#2  Alyssa’s – Gluten Free Vegan Cookies

A must for any low carb & keto food list are Alyssa’s Gluten Free Vegan Cookies! There’s just something about the sweetness and chewiness that can’t be replicated. Luckily, you don’t have to resort to diet cookie products that barely show any resemblance to a cookie. Alyssa’s Gluten Free cookies (our review herearen’t fake at all– it’s real oatmeal and real fruit, but at only 2g net carbs per piece. No compromises here.

#3 Outer Aisle Gourmet – Cauliflower Sandwich Thins

These Cauliflower Sandwich Thins are so versatile. You can, of course, use them to make your favorite sandwich, but we like to fry them up to a “hash brown” type of consistency. They also work amazingly well in grilled cheese sandwiches (just please don’t use low-fat cheese!). You can also throw some Rao’s Pizza Sauce and some shredded cheese on a thin, shove it in the oven, and you’ve got a quick and tasty personal pizza.

#4 Simple Mills – Almond Flour Grain-Free Crackers

These Simple Mills Crackers are very flavorful on their own. Honestly, while you could use these as a cracker substitute on almost anything, we love the Farmhouse Cheddar flavor, which is basically the low glycemic, paleo version of Cheez-Its. Here are the Top keto friendly crackers you can buy

#5  Kirkland – Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia Nuts are one of those foods everyone probably thought was so bad to eat before keto. Let me tell you, I’ve been eating a couple servings of macadamia nuts daily for years and they’ve been quite the opposite of bad. My favorites are the Costco version (they sell them at Amazon too). They are perfectly roasted and salted and sourced from all over the world.

#6  Bulletproof – Brain Octane Oil

MCT Oil is the basis of many keto recipes, including salad dressings and keto coffee. My favorite is the Brain Octane Oil from Bulletproof, which is just a fancy way of marketing very healthy and concentrated MCT Oil (C8 Caprylic Acid, if you’re keeping track). These kick your keto diet into overdrive. It’s great to have some around at all times.

We’ve also written about the best MCT oil brands and their various benefits.

#7  Milkadamia – Unsweetened Macadamia Nut Milk

If you miss milk, you probably miss the sugar from milk honestly. This Macadamia Milk from Milkadamia is extremely decadent and can be used as a coffee creamer or, if you can find some, with low carb grain free granola or muesli. I like to add a touch of sweetness to my favorite Stevia from NOW Foods to get a nice cold, decadent milky drink.

#8  Primal Kitchen – Avocado Oil Based Mayo

Normal mayo isn’t bad, per se. You may want to watch out for things like added sugar, but the main reason we use Primal Kitchen’s Mayo is because of the avocado oil, which helps to balance out the PUFAs (Polyunsaturated fatty acids, or omega-6 fatty acids) that are consumed with a lot of grain-free products that contain nuts and nut flours. This condiment should be on everyone’s keto food list!

#9  Heinz – No Sugar Added Ketchup

There’s really no replacement for some good ketchup. This is why we have our No Sugar Added Heinz Ketchup to add to things like cheeseburgers and other foods where it just doesn’t taste the same without ketchup.

#10  Primal Kitchen – Salad Dressing, Avocado Oil Based

Primal Kitchen also makes great salad dressings with avocado oil. This helps you stay away from all the post-processing vegetable oils that are normally found in pretty much every single other dressing. Tip: While Olive Oil is an exception to the unhealthy vegetable oil rule, most brands that claim the dressing is made with olive oil usually mix in other oils, like canola.

#11  Cappello’s Gluten Free Fettuccine

These are the best low-glycemic, paleo-friendly and grain-free noodles you will ever have. They may be the best noodles in general that you can buy at stores or online. These are so nutritionally dense that you don’t need to eat a lot to get full. We love to mix in some with alfredo sauce to make Fettuccine Alfredo.

#12  Cali’flour Foods – Low Carb Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Like the Sandwich Thins from above, you can also make a pizza with the cauliflower pizza crust. Again, we like Rao’s Pizza Sauce and your choice of favorite toppings along with some whole-fat cheese.

#13  ChocZero – Premium Milk Chocolate

ChocZero is our favorite keto chocolate. The milk chocolate flavor (<–10% off with code CONVENIENTKETO) tastes like Nestle Crunch bars and unlike a lot of their competitors, contains zero sugar alcohols. It’s a win-win situation, especially if you are sensitive to sugar alcohols. We also like that these squares are individually wrapped (think Ghiradelli), so it’s cleaner and you are less tempted to plow through a whole bar of chocolate.

Check out our favorite low carb chocolate treats!!

#14  Moon Cheese – All Cheese Crackers

If you’re missing things like Cheetos or cheese puffs, these little moon cheese snacks are a great alternative, and a must add to your keto diet grocery list. The only ingredient is cheese! They are portable and store well and so are very versatile. Also, doesn’t Moon Cheese sound like “munchies?” Can’t go wrong with that.

#15  SOGO Snacks – No Sugar added Beef Sticks

Slim Jim or jerky addicts can add this one to the list. These SOGO Beef Sticks are extremely portable and versatile and give you that nice meaty, saltiness that you can crave while on keto.

#16 ELAN Macadamia Nut Crunch

If you tire of eating plain old nuts, you might want to give these Elan Macadamia Nut “clusters” which basically add some texture and a hint of sweetness (1g maple syrup per 30g). Even better, pair these with the Macadamia Nut Milk from above and you’ve got a really tasty cereal alternative.

#17  Jilz Gluten Free Crackerz

Jilz is the second cracker on this list, but that’s because I like them for dipping rather than eating on their own like I would with Simple Mills Cheddar Crackers. These go great with tuna or chicken salad or things like hummus and spinach or ranch dip. These are a great option to add to your keto food list.

#18  Zevia – Stevia Sweetened Soda No Sugar Zero Calorie

When you have sugar cravings, try drinking some Zevia Sugar-Free soda. Again, bonus points here for not having sugar alcohols. Instead, Zevia is sweetened only with all-natural stevia. The Strawberry flavor is out of this world good as well as their Creme Soda.

#19  Navitas Organics – Sun Dried Goldenberries

The most keto-friendly fruits are normally berries, such as blackberries and raspberries. One dried fruit that might not be on your radar is the golden berry, which is naturally low-glycemic. It’s real sugar, so don’t overdo it, but these are the best-dried berries you can spice up something like mixed nuts with.

#20  Birch Benders – Low Carb Paleo Waffle and Pancake Mix

Breakfast foods are something a lot of people miss. That’s where these Paleo, low-glycemic pancakes come in! Pair this with some sugar-free syrup (our absolute favorite is the Smucker’s brand— other brands can taste funky, but not Smucker’s). This is a great way to round out our top keto food list.
