Pizza Hut – Keto Friendly Ordering

Pizza Hut has two different types of wings: Bone-In and Bone-Out. The only keto Pizza Hut wings are the Bone-In Wing which comes in at 0g net carb per wing. 

The Bone-Out wing is more like fried chicken, with lots of breading. One bone-out wing comes in at 5g net carbs per wing, which is definitely dangerous when you can eat 10 of them in a single sitting.

Besides Pizza Hut’s two different types of wings, they also have two different ways the wings can be prepared: Saucey or Dry Rub.

Usually, buffalo sauce is a safe bet on keto but in Pizza Hut’s case, they add sugar to all of their sauces! So none of their keto wing sauces are actually keto friendly… NONE!

But luckily their dry rubs are, including:

  • Ranch – 0.5g net carbs per wing
  • Cajun – 0g net carbs per wing
  • Garlic Parmesan – 0.5g net carbs per wing
  • Lemon Pepper – 0.5g net carbs per wing

So if you order 10 wings you are only looking at 5g net carbs which would definitely be keto friendly.

The Salad Option

Pizza Hut also offers a few different salad options at select locations. In addition, if you eat inside, some locations have salad bars. However, most locations offer at least a side salad for takeout.

The side salad consists of:  Romaine and iceberg lettuce, diced Roma tomatoes, fresh red onions, and cheddar cheese. Just be sure to hold off on the croutons.

Okay, that’s not a real thing. But, there are Pizza Hut keto friendly toppings so if your family or friends order pizza and you still want to participate you could scrape off all the toppings and dig in. However, it’s very easy to want to eat some crust and can be super awkward!
