Fun fact: There are actually more low carb Five Guys ingredients than there are higher carb ingredients! How about that! The add-ons are awesome and will make you forget all about the bun.
So let’s check out exactly which Five Guys items we can order that are low carb and keto-friendly. The ultimate goal is to build a burger so good, you feel like this guy:
Burgers– It’s what’s for dinner
The question of what to eat at Five Guys on keto has an easy answer. Five Guys only serves burgers and fries (and also hot dogs, randomly). The fries are definitely out of the question, but really almost anything else other than the buns can be combined to create a potentially epic meal.
We’ll break it down below.
But first, here’s a picture of our Bacon Cheeseburger order with basically every topping on this list. Even with everything loaded on, we only hit a total of around 8g net carbs! And, in case you were wondering, it turned out to be extremely delicious and filling!
Feel free to mess around with the toppings, but the maximum amount of carbs with everything on it is 8g net carbs, which makes Five Guys a great keto fast food option.
How to Order the Keto Five Guys Bunless Burger Bowl
Choose one of the burgers on the Five Guys menu and order it bunless. When you order it this way, it comes in a neat little aluminum tray (pictured above) so you can eat everything with utensils. Then, simply stack on all the toppings you want.
True, there’s no Five Guys lettuce wrap option, but in this case, that’s a good thing. You’ll have that much more room to stack your add-ons.
Meats
Here’s your base burger patty. Decide if you want to add bacon (why not?)
- Burger Patty (0g net carbs)
- Bacon (2 slices) – 0g net carbs
- Hot Dog – 1g net carb
Toppings
Now choose from these toppings to finish off your burger.
- Cheese (0g net carbs)
- Lettuce (1g net carb)
- Tomatoes (2g net carbs)
- Pickles (1g net carb)
- Onions, grilled or raw (2g net carbs)
- We suggest grilled onions to add some natural sweetness, since we can’t use ketchup
Extras
- Green Peppers (1g net carb)
- Grilled Mushrooms (1g net carb)
- Jalapenos (<1g net carb)
Condiments
- Mayonnaise (0g net carbs)
- Mustard (0g net carbs)

I guarantee five guys does not use sugar free bacon and their mayonnaise is soy based oil with added sugar. Not to mention the American ācheeseā they add. To make five guys keto it would need to be just the patty, no condiments and only the vegetables added.
